Your application process

Your admission and registration process follows these steps:

1. Submit your application
To apply, you submit your application and the required supporting documents to the Admission Officer, who will guide you through the process and support you with any questions along the way.

2. Application review
Your application is reviewed by the Program Committee to verify that you meet the eligibility requirements and that all required documents have been submitted.

3. Evaluation of the application file
The Committee evaluates your application file and supporting documentation, including your academic background and curriculum vitae.

4. Interview stage
Eligible applicants are invited to participate in an online oral interview conducted by members of the Program Committee.

5. Additional language assessment (if required)
In some admission rounds, a written English language assessment may also take place before the interview.

6. Final selection of candidates
After completing the evaluation process (application file, interview and possible language assessment), the Committee prepares the final list of admitted candidates and a list of runners-up.

7. Enrolment at the University
Successful applicants complete the enrolment process according to the instructions provided by the Program Secretariat.

Applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

  • Completion of secondary education with a recognised high school diploma obtained abroad
  • Eligibility for admission to higher education institutions in the country where the diploma was issued
  • English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level
  • Participation in the evaluation process conducted by the Programme Committee
  • Evaluation based on academic performance, curriculum vitae, and interview performance

The following qualifications are positively considered during the evaluation process:

  • Minimum overall secondary school grade corresponding to at least 70% of the maximum grading scale or equivalent
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): minimum 28/45
  • SAT: minimum 1200/1600
  • ACT: minimum 25/36
  • TSA (Thinking Skills Assessment): minimum 70/100 or raw score ≥ 28/50

Applicants are required to submit the following supporting documents:

• Short Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English, including studies, distinctions, volunteering experience, or other relevant activities
• Secondary school diploma (with official English translation, if issued in another language)
• Official final-year secondary school transcript and detailed grades (with official English translation, if required)
• Motivation Letter (up to 500 words) explaining the applicant’s interest in Agricultural Science and Food Science, motivation for joining the Programme, and future goals
• Proof of English language proficiency at minimum B2 level according to the CEFR
• Copy of passport or national ID card

Additionally, applicants may submit recognised admission or evaluation test results, such as:
• International Baccalaureate (IB): minimum 28/45
• SAT: minimum 1200/1600
• ACT: minimum 25/36
• TSA (Thinking Skills Assessment): minimum 70/100 or raw score ≥ 28/50

per Academic Year

The total tuition fee for the Program is €35,000.

Tuition fees are paid in 10 equal instalments of €3,500, with the first instalment due during the enrolment process and the remaining instalments payable before the start of each semester.

Payments are made electronically to the Special Account for Research Funds of Aristotle University (ELKE AUTH), according to the instructions provided by the Programme Secretariat.

Upon submission of the application, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application and file processing fee of €150. Applications are considered complete and eligible for evaluation only after payment has been confirmed and proof of payment has been submitted.

Applicants who are offered a place in the Program are required to pay a deposit of €1,000 as an advance payment toward the tuition fees. The deposit is non-refundable in the case of withdrawal from the Program.
